Options
- Use browser camera when supported.
- Use PWA install prompts on mobile devices.
- On iPhone PWA flows, rely on image/file-based scanning if live camera is limited.
Limits and important notes
- Browser camera access usually requires HTTPS, except on localhost.
- Camera permission must be granted.
- If the QR code is damaged or missing
ref, the pass cannot be opened. - Some visible scanner controls are technical or experimental and should not be treated as the main onboarding path.
